Acrowood Promotes Smith
Acrowood’s Desmond Smith, promoted last fall to Vice President, Sales and
Marketing, has been promoted again. The Everett, Wash. manufacturing firm
promoted Smith to Vice President and General Manager. As Vice President of Sales
and Marketing he directed sales and marketing activities, and the service and
parts support functions of the company. As Vice President and General Manager he
will continue in his sales and marketing roles while overseeing larger functions
and direction of the company as well.
Hallco names Workentin
Hallco Manufacturing recently appointment Randy Workentin to Regional Sales
Manager of Western Canada, Washington, Idaho and Montana. Randy comes to Hallco
with over 30 years in the trucking industry. He owned Northwest Sawdust Company
for 20 years using Live Floors trailers and dry vans. His vast trucking- trailer
knowledge will be an enormous benefit to the company and its customers. Randy is

Moore VP for Volvo CE
Rents
Barry Natwick, President & CEO, Volvo Construction Equipment Rents, Inc.
appointed Martin Moore to the position of Vice President, North America
Operations. Moore has more than twenty-three years experience in senior
management positions engaged in service acquisitions, operations, sales,
marketing and finance. He will be responsible for the overall operations for the
Volvo CE Rents franchise program in North America.
PL Names Frost
In August, Louisiana-Pacific Corporation announced the retirement of Chairman
and CEO Mark Suwyn and that Rick Frost, Executive Vice President, Commodity
Products, Procurement and Engineering, would succeed him. "I am honored to lead
this great group of talented people that are the backbone of LP's success," Rick
commented. "I am confident that together we will build on the success started by
Mark. He has been a great mentor and by involving me in so many operational and
strategic decisions, he has prepared me well for my new responsibilities."
Terex Fuchs Names Zenor
Terex Fuchs announced the addition of Ryan Zenor to its sales team as Sales
Specialist/Forestry Products. Zenor will handle the company’s complete line of
forestry products. Prior to joining Terex Fuchs, Zenor was part of the Blount
Inc. sales department for seven years. Zenor can be contacted at

LP Names Stanton
Executive VP
Louisiana-Pacific named Harold Stanton executive vice president, specialty
products and sales. Stanton will be responsible for overseeing all of LP's
specialty building product segments including engineered wood products,
composite wood, and plastic building products. He will also manage LP's
corporate marketing and sales groups. Jeffrey Wagner will take over Stanton's
former position as vice president, OSB.
Longview Fibre Promotions
There have been a number of significant changes at Longview Fibre Company. In
May, Robert F. Roth was promoted to Manager, Washington Timberlands and Blake S.
Rowe to Manager, Oregon Timberlands. "These newly-created positions are part of
a restructuring of Longview Fibre’s timber department in an effort to further
enhance our forest resources," says Wade C. Boyd, senior vice president-timber.
"They are responsible for coordination of silviculture work, including
reforestation; our Sustainable Forestry program; logging, log-quality control,
roads maintenance/construction; our fish-wildlife protection; and regulatory
compliance." Erik C. Lease was promoted to Manager of the Southwest Washington
Tree Farm and is responsible for overseeing harvest operations, roads and
regulatory compliance. Wesley E. Schlenker was promoted to Manager, Support
Systems and David M. Devine to Manager, Reforestation for the company’s
timberlands operations. Schlenker, among other things, will involve management
of geographic information systems (GIS) and land surveys. Devine will oversee
the reforestation program which includes planning on average 3.5 million
multi-species trees annually.
