Greetings!
It's been four years since the last Pacific Logging Congress "In-The-
Woods" Show in Washington State. Mark your calendars for September 19-22,
2001 for the 4th "In the Woods" show, which will be held on Longview
Fibre Timberland, 35 miles west of downtown Portland on Hwy 26. The Benson Hotel
will serve as the headquarter hotel. To make room reservations call
888-523-6766, be sure to let them know you are with the Pacific Logging Congress
group. To receive the discount rate, please make reservations before August 18.
The Pacific Logging Congress live "In-The-Woods" Show, is the largest
active logging equipment show in the United States. Leading product lines will
be actively demonstrated by more than 50 manufacturers and dealers, each
representing the cutting edge of product development and innovation. The 2001
"In-The-Woods" Show will set the stage for a unique opportunity to
learn and share with others the technology and innovation that will lead our
industry into the future.
Attendance to the Pacific Logging
Congress, "In-The-Woods" Show, is by registration only. You must have
a paid ticket to attend. By sending in your show registration now, your
attendance tickets will be mailed to you prior to the show. This will allow you
the opportunity to drive to the bus site, present your ticket and get on the bus
for the quick trip to the show site. Your registration must be received by
September 1 in order for the passes to be mailed to you. You may register for a
one-day pass at $20 US per person or a 3-day pass at $50 US per person. So
register now and you will receive up-to-the-minute information on the 2001
"In the Woods" show program and activities. On-site registration will
be available at the bus parking area.

You may also purchase tickets to
the Reception and Banquet on Friday evening. Please consider a contribution to
the Pacific Logging Congress Education Fund. PLC will host an Education Day on
September 19th, inviting over 3,000 students and teachers from Portland area
schools to attend the show. This will provide our industry an opportunity to
educate our youth and their teachers on the positive logging methods used in the
forest industry today. Over the past three shows, PLC has hosted more than
10,000 children and teachers. Providing factual information about our most
valuable renewable resource is the goal of the Pacific Logging Congress.
