Timberstar Introduces New
Printer
Just
when it looks like expensive inkjet printing is the only option for
one-location stamp placement, Timberstar has invented the SIX-PAK Rotary
Printer. An onboard state-of-the-art computer that requires only standard
inputs from existing computers to operate, powers this printer. With six
stamps and three available colours on each print head, the new SIX-PAK
promises to be an economical solution to trouble-prone inkjet systems.

New Reduced-Weight Bars from Oregon
Oregon Cutting Systems has introduced a new, patented, reduced-weight
version of its popular Power Match guide bar. Currently available in 32”,
.063 gauge, 3/8”pitch the new Oregon bar offers the timber cutter a
significant 26 per cent weight reduction. Reduced-weight bars can be
adapted for .404-inch pitch chains with a simple tip replacement.
Additional long-bar selections to the Oregon reduced-weight bar offering
are currently in development. These additions will be in the 28” to 37”
categories. Users will notice a dramatic improvement in saw balance. Less
weight helps to limit the risks associated with user fatigue. Cutters will
also notice productivity gains.

New Products from Better Builds Dry
Kilns
Better Built Dry Kilns, Inc is now offering a selection of package and
track-loaded dry kilns as well as pallet sanitizers. The pallet sanitizers
come in three forms: a rooftop model; a multiple-load, self-propelled
machine; and a standard, field-assembled truckload lot machine. MOBILE HT
8000, also called “The Traveler,” is a multiple-load pallet sanitizer.
This large-scale machine, which is loaded by forklift, is capable of
processing 8,000 pallets in eight hours. It is available in any width,
length or height and is constructed entirely of aluminum and stainless
steel. It is self-propelled, computer controlled and has all components
installed in a mobile control room. It is also a lumber kiln. A standard,
field-assembled machine, the 56/30 HT Pallet Sanitizer can handle full
truckload quantities and is indirect-fired by various fossil fuels or
steam/hot water. The computer control system has multiple wood and air
temperature sensors and controls the entire cycle from start-up to shut
down. The company also features a selection of package- and track-loaded
dry kilns, which can be high- or low-pressure steam-fired in direct or
indirect format. The product selection also includes dehumidifiers in
various sizes. The most popular dry kilns are side-loading or
forklift-loaded package models, designed based on the user’s output
requirements, space availability and investment costs. Heating options
include hot water, hot oil, and high- or low-pressure steam, and the dry
kilns can be direct- or indirect-fired using various fossil fuels. All
kilns are offered with proven corrosion fighters: thick 304 stainless
steel interiors and an anodized aluminum structure.
