Husqvarna
Husqvarna
displayed two innovative chainsaws at the OLC. The 5.4 hp
575XP/XPG/XPW’s
new X-TORQ engine provides high torque over a very wide rpm range. It
uses less fuel and its low exhaust emission levels are in accordance
with EPA 2. It weighs 6.8 kg and has been ergonomically improved to
reduce fatigue. The XPG comes with heated handles. And the XPW features
a full wrap handle.
The 4.9 hp 570 weighs 6.8 kg and has the same X-TORQ engine. It also

DENIS CIMAF
DENIS CIMAF introduced the DAF-080 front-mounted
brushcutter for skid steers and the DAH-050/060 brushcutter. Because of
the response to the larger DAF- 180,
the company developed a lighter version for skid steers 65 hp and up,
the DAF-080. It uses a 72” wide cutting rotor consisting of 25 fixed
knives with bolted-on blades, and features a height-adjustable
attachment system. It requires continuous hydraulic flow between 25-30
gal/min, an operating pressure of 3,000 psi, and a rotating speed of
2,300 rpm. The DAH-050/060 was designed for excavators and backhoes of
the mid-size class. It will cut and chip trees up to 15 cm in diameter
and leave mulched material on the ground. These heavy brushcutters are
ideal for roadside clearing. The -050 has 13 blades on the rotor,
whereas the -060 has 19. They are 33” in width, with a 41” and 54”
cutting width. www.deniscimaf.com

next-larger-size-class excavator. Both models are built standard with
many of the protection and performance features formerly handled at
aftermarket. The PC200LL-7 has an operating weight of 62,488 lb with 143
hp and a swing torque of 54,970 ft/lb, while the PC220LL-7 weighs 77,788
lbs, operates at 168 hp and has a swing torque of 75,902 ft/lb. Both
machines are ideal for efficient log loading (both heel-type and butt ‘n
top methods), shovel logging, road building, delimber and processing
applications.
